Fever Start Strong in 2024 Season
The Indiana Fever opened their 2024 WNBA Commissioners Cup play with a thrilling win against the Chicago Sky, 84-78, on Tuesday night at Indiana Farmers Coliseum.
Victoria Vivians led the Fever with 21 points, while Aaliyah Boston added 18 points and 10 rebounds. Breanna Stewart chipped in with 16 points and nine rebounds.
The Fever jumped out to a 20-10 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. They led by as many as 15 points in the second half before the Sky cut the lead to 65-62 with 5:30 remaining in the fourth quarter.
The Fever held on for the win, thanks to some clutch free throws from Vivians and Boston. The win improves the Fever's record to 1-0 in Commissioners Cup play.
The Fever will next face the Dallas Wings on Friday night at Indiana Farmers Coliseum.
